Physics Lab, Chemistry Lab, and Multimedia Digital Language Laboratory
Globalization is creating a rapidly increasing demand for engineers who have the ability to deal effectively with professionals from other cultures and countries. The English language is de-facto standard in cross national communication between engineers. The second most spoken language in the world and the lingua franca in many professions, English is a culturally rich, exciting field of study, with some 380 million native speakers. Through the global influence of native English speakers in cinema, music, broadcasting, science, and the Internet in recent decades, English is now the most widely learned second language in the world, although other colonial languages such as French and Spanish retain much importance worldwide. A state-of-the art Multimedia Digital Language Laboratory with Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) facilities has been set up in the Department to develop the English language proficiency of the students and to meet the growing market demand of a smart and articulate workforce.
